When you ShopGreen™, we make an investment in carbon offsets on your behalf. The carbon offsets are used to fund renewable energy and other environmental projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change.

Carbon offsets are emission reductions measured in metric tonnes (2,205 lbs) of greenhouse gas emissions or CO2. Typically these emission reductions are sold in large quantities to offset a big part of your carbon footprint. For example, the average car emits about five tonnes of CO2 each year.

ShopGreen™ allows you to micro-finance emission reduction projects by adding an investment in carbon offsets equal to one percent of your order subtotal. This small investment has a minimal impact on an individual but collectively makes a big difference.
